Well, back by popular demand...

We've had requests from people who are not on Facebook/meta or who keep getting their account restricted (now knows as a metapause) for a way to continue to connect when they can't get on Facebook. FB is so ingrained in our lives I get it. As a repeat community standards offender on that platform (and for things that truly are not against the rules) I know how frustrating and disconnected you can feel when you can't reach your community.

Tampa Bay Moms Group started as a forum. It was a stand alone platform that was self hosted where tens of thousands of moms came to connect with each other. As other social media platforms became larger and saw the popularity of things small forums like TBMG had they added those to their offerings, things like local groups, market places, direct messages. So with a team of techies and deep pockets Facebook did all it could to eradicate small social platforms like ours.

But we adapted! Facebook gave a way for us to create a forum on their platform (and it was free!!!) and for a while it was super convenient. But as the social media giant evolved and we learned that free accounts on their network come with many prices that don't include money some have left Facebook to find no other options for groups beyond the most popular social media corporations.

Again, we were created to help moms connect. So when everyone was moving we moved but we don't want to not offer options for those not on Facebook or blocked from Facebook from reaping the benefits of connecting and getting support.

So we are opening our forum again. We've made it both desktop and mobile friendly! So whether or not you are on other platforms we do hope you'll give our forum a try.
