The best protection against Mosquitoes

As with most moms I tend to worry about the things beyond my control when it comes to my kids health and safety. I worry about things happening at school, I worry they will get hurt outside, I worry they will get sick, I worry about pretty much every scenario you can imagine. I don't let this stop my kids from living normal lives. I don't do the helicopter mom thing (too much) but I also do take precautions to protect them when I can. Which is why I started using Mosquito Authority...

The thought of my child (or even me) getting a mosquito born illness that I could protect us against is a nightmare. When it comes to mosquitoes the only ones that bite are the females but there are plenty of them and those chicks carry malaria, dengue, West Nile virus, chikungunya, yellow fever, filariasis, tularemia, dirofilariasis, Japanese encephalitis, Saint Louis encephalitis, Western equine encephalitis, Eastern equine encephalitis, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, La Crosse encephalitis, and Zika fever!!! When a mosquito bites, it also injects saliva and anti-coagulants into the blood which may also contain disease-causing viruses or other parasites. And don't think the disease is limited to humans. In pets, they cause West Nile Virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitism, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

Terrifying right?!?!? Not to mention my youngest two are allergic to mosquitoes (one bite and they swell like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man and I promise you... it ain't pretty). I live in a part of Tampa Bay that seems to have the most aggressive and resilient blood suckers (I'm sure others would say the same but I really really mean it). While a slathering of Skin-So-Soft may keep them bite free for a quick run to and from the car, it's not enough to keep the blood suckers at bay when they are outside longer than a few minutes. Dawn, dusk, and night time especially (basically the times we are home and can actually play outside without cooking in the Florida heat) my kids are walking feasts for mosquitoes. What am I supposed to do? I call the county and they spray and it doesn't help. I cover them in spray and deet and still they get bites or lord knows what other side effects from all the chemicals I'm coating their bodies in. We got to where we along with many families in my neighborhood just avoid being outside. Not fun for kids, not what you want in a family community but safe I guess. Miserable but safe. Until we got sprayed from Mosquito Authority.

It really is life changing or in the very least lifestyle changing to be able to go outside! My kids are playing, running and we are enjoying the evening air without feeling like we are feeding the mosquito population. It's super easy too. I actually do nothing. They walk the property, spray safer products than what you find in the most common bug sprays and it's not on my kids skin or near their eyes and noses! It also helps prevent fleas, ticks and ants too! The spray is an insecticide not a pesticide, so our treatment does not harm plants and animals, and is 2,000 times less toxic them the OFF spray you spray on your skin!

The process and product kills mosquitoes in both the Adult (winged blood siphoning) stage and the Larva (nasty water inhabiting wormy) stage which in turn prevents the egg and pupa stages which leads to a mosquito free yard! Because of their life cycle you do need to have it sprayed every 3 weeks but you don't have to be home. I love that the service works and is less than similar providers. I've even used them for vendor events I've had and it's made a world of difference to both my exhibitors and the guests. Our community movie night would not have been possible without Mosquito Authority. And did I mention they have a no mosquitoes guarantee? They do and it's just an extra layer of security for you with the investment of safety for your family. If you have any questions or concerns at any time let your tech know (they are so knowleable and very professional and nice) or give the office a call. They are a very family and customer oriented company and really want every customer to be satisfied and safe. You'll love working with them but most importantly... You'll love the freedom of being outside without fear of bites or worse.
