There is a wide variety of family-friendly activities in the Tampa Bay area, ranging from festive riverfront celebrations to hands-on farm festivals. Many but not all are free and some require preregistration. Be sure to check each event's site for updates and details before visiting.

Tampa Riverfest: A multi-venue celebration along the Tampa Riverwalk.
- Kid Zone at Water Works Park: Features hands-on STEM experiments, craft stations, and a "Tampa Treasure Hunt" from 11:00 AM.
- Lantern Parade: Participants can parade with decorated lanterns from Water Works Park to Curtis Hixon Park starting at 1:30 PM.
- Florida Wiener Dog Derby XVI: Held at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park at 10:30 AM, featuring dachshund races and family entertainment.
2026 Hernando County Fair: It's the last day to enjoy carnival rides, a demolition derby, and livestock shows in Brooksville.
Monarch Festival: Educational and fun activities for all ages at the New Port Richey Public Library at 10:00 AM.

Family Day at the Chihuly Garden: Free event in St. Petersburg with art activities, face painting, and raptor rescues.
Sensory Saturday: A sensory-friendly experience at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg at 10:00 AM.
Sleeping Beauty Royal Event: A princess-themed celebration at Little Princess Spa Tampa from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
