Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, Movie

My kids were super excited for the latest installment in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise, the movies based on the book series by Jeff Kinney. The popularity craving Greg Heffley, (played by Jason Drucker who is replacing Zachary Gordon), being a child who is prone to shenanigans and hijinks and unbelievable self inflicted misfortune, starts off the movie with a disaster that makes him a viral sensation. Not exactly the fame he was hoping for. In a half baked plan to redeem himself and earn back some cool points (though I'm not certain he had many to begin with) he decides that while being forced to go on a road trip with his parents (who are now played by Alicia Silverstone and Tom Everet

Mother's Day.....whatever

After a day mostly spent annoyed by waiting to hear from my kids at all and seeing all my friends posting about their fabulous Mother’s Days on Facebook, I have to wonder how many of you are bold face liars? I just got off the phone with one of my besties. She is one of the peeps that was posting about her fabulous Mother’s Day yesterday. She was lying. She admitted it. She had a crappy ass day. As a kid, I remember happily making my mom some cute craft, expecting her to be thrilled, and calling it done. When I got my 1st paying job, I was excited to buy her that requisite card and flowers….and call it a day. As I got older, it became more and more of a task. Something to check off a l

How to keep your personal info off public searches.

Ok, so the title of this post is misleading. You just can't totally do it. But you can make it harder for searches to find and share  your info. Your information is out there. People can find you. If you are reading this you are online and if you are online so is everything from your address to shopping habits and more. I know this. I'm not generally a private person. Years ago I even skip traced people and that was before it was so easy to just log into Facebook to find out all you need to know about a person. So believe me when I tell you that for me to be shocked at the ease in which your most personal data can be accessed it is saying something. But what really got me was the fact that m
